Royal Alberta Museum

After nearly three years of closure, the new Royal Alberta Museum reopened in October 2018. With double the space and over 2.4 million uniquely Alberta Stories to tell, the new museum is an authentic reflection of Alberta.

From illustrating trees and grains, to hand lettering poems about animal foot prints, Curio contributed a wide range of visuals within the Children’s Gallery.

‘The Alberta Map’ is a layered, full colour map of our province featuring hundreds of different animals, plants, structures, rivers, roads, people, and historical elements.

Production was complex as our team researched, sketched concepts, and developed final artwork for each element. The final product is a beautiful representation of our province, installed at a child’s eye level right inside the children’s museum entrance.
