Jack 59

The Whole Package

Vanessa Marshall cares about hair. She notices the difference in quality among hair products, and she notices what makes that difference.

She also notices the number of empty shampoo bottles discarded in landfills.

This inspired her to launch Jack 59, a line of high-end hair products available in a compact, earth-friendly bar form. Every bar sold means less plastic waste, and every new customer means wider global impact.

To extend Jack 59’s reach, Vanessa turned to Curio for a comprehensive brand transformation.

We knew the logo had to make a powerful statement, so we meticulously evaluated letterforms to find the ones that would stand out while matching the brand’s personality. The final logo’s design is exceptionally adaptable, suiting every application from prominent signage to a social media icon.

We used traditional art supplies to create abstract surface patterns with ink: Each blob and brushstroke has a distinct, fluid quality. When coupled with a broad color palette, the result is a unified but versatile visual library for promotions and packaging.

Today, Jack 59 offers product lines catering to every hair type, and they have rescued over 600,000 plastic bottles from landfill oblivion.
