Courage Gala 2015

The Courage Gala is the most significant fundraising event of the year for the Glenrose Hospital Foundation. Curio has worked with this gala for a few years, developing invites, programs, signage and print collateral. Last year, we did a re-brand of the entire event.

The evening raises both funds and the awareness to improve and advance care at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. Here is a story from one of the Courage Gala speakers, that our client sent along to us to share with all of you:

Mike Hurley was out enjoying a game of golf. In a strange turn of events his cart ended up tipping over and falling on his spine. This accident caused his legs to become paralyzed. In an instant his life’s path was changed. Their family has faced this adversity together and continues to push the boundaries. Mike, Kelly, and Ty Hurley shared their families journey with 750 guests. Kelly shared that as his wife, at first she cried every morning for months, most often when she was alone (and carrying their second child). Then Mike shared that he still coaches his son’s hockey team and that his rehab journey is much like what he tells his players: “it’s not about how many times you get knocked down. It’s about how many times you get back up.”

Watch this video capturing real people in their rehabilitation. Thank you to our client, Glenrose Hospital Foundation, for giving us the opportunity to work with them, year after year!
