We recently worked with Edmonton Symphony Orchestra once again to develop the overall look for the season through the development of the 2015-16 season brochure. We presented two directions for creative and ultimately took the direction of expressive ink illustration, created in a technique that is a combination of traditional (india ink) and digital (photoshop) techniques.
The illustrations are energetic and reflect different key locations (AGA, Legislature, Hawrelak Park, etc) within Edmonton, Alberta. The wave of colourful ink markings moving through each illustration represents ESO’s music moving through every location, touching the Edmonton community.
Curio Studio, along with other designers and the in-house team at ESO are currently applying this creative to a wide variety of ad campaigns, print and web collateral.
This has been one of our favourite projects of the year. Thank you to the team at Edmonton Symphony Orchestra for taking a leap on using illustration as a key component of their marketing materials this year!
