Morton the Magician

A few years back, Curio had a blast illustrating a children’s book called Morton the Magician, written and published by the local magician, Sheldon Casavant.

The book has become such a hit, that it has evolved into other interesting projects! Morton made his debut at the St. Albert Children’s Festival recently. Based on the main character we developed in the book, Sheldon Casavant worked with a mask maker in Toronto to develop a replicated face for Morton. Check out some of the photos of kids interacting with Morton!

You can find out more (and purchase) this book for your child at mortonthemagician.com

Additionally, you can watch a ‘making of’ video with Amanda in her home studio, working on sketches and digital renderings of the book.

Finally, check out the CBC interview of Morton at the St. Albert Children’s Festival!
